.

I have been living in southwest Florida for my most of my life. and I have learned a lot about the many habitats of Florida and what makes them thrive.

Besides creating art, fishing, boating, gardening, and exploring the swamps  are some of my favorite things to do.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the Ringling School of Art and Design. Much of my inspiration comes from simple observation of nature and careful attention to details. The differences between the plant life of  land and sea fascinate me, and I like to include interesting flora and fauna in my work.  I also like to branch out a little and create a magically enhanced view of nature.

A Little About Myself…

I work mostly with oil and mixed media, (graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, ink and acrylic).  Some of the artists I am inspired by are Alphonse Mucha, Van Gogh, Cézanne, Monet, Maxfield Parish, Arthur Rackham, Brian Froud, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery,  and Charles Shultz.

In today’s society, it is easy to overlook our natural surroundings. I hope to open small windows with my art and make the details a little more visible.
